Ian A Nelson is a wildlife and nature documentary filmmaker. Ian has previously produced short educational videos for American Bird Conservancy in Kaua'i.
With Coriolis Films, Ian directed, shot and edited Saving Kauai's Seabirds, which premiered at the Wildlife Conservation Film Festival in New York City in 2019. Ian also created a short documentary titled Saving Western Burrowing Owls, and Exploring The Pacific Northwest, a feature length nature & wildlife documentary. |
Introducing a new collaboration with biologist Kayleigh Chalkowski (Ecology Illustrated), a PhD student at Auburn University studying spillover of parasites from free-roaming cats and dogs into endemic small mammals in Madagascar. This January and next July during her field season, she will be getting footage to go into a documentary about her research with The Mad Dog Initiative and what its like to study disease ecology.
